Terms of Use

    Last updated: August 29, 2026

These are the plain-language terms for using this website. They are short on purpose.

    What this site is

Your WC Tech Guy is an independent, one-person technology help service based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The pages here — including the scam awareness guide — are general educational information for older adults and their families. They are not legal, financial, medical, or security advice for your specific situation.

    No affiliation

I am not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, your bank, your internet provider, or any government agency. Company names and screenshots appear on this site only as examples to help you recognize scams.

    Use at your own judgment

I do my best to keep everything here accurate and current, but scams change constantly and technology varies from device to device. Information on this site is provided as-is, without guarantees. If money, accounts, or personal safety are involved, please also contact your bank, local police, or a trusted family member.

    Contacting me

Sending the contact form does not create a service agreement or any obligation on either side. It simply starts a conversation. Any actual help is arranged directly with you beforehand, and I will always tell you the cost before doing work.

    Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, I am not liable for losses arising from your use of this website or reliance on its general information. Services I perform in person are covered by whatever we agree to at the time.

    Content

The writing, images, and logo on this site belong to Your WC Tech Guy. You are welcome to print or share the scam awareness pages with family, friends, or a senior group at no charge. Please do not republish them commercially without asking.

    Privacy

How your information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
